This project, when completed, will allow storm waters as seen in Hurricane Irene pass under Route 94, protecting the roadway from potential flooding waters. Upon completion, portions of Route 94 will be raised up to 5 feet higher from their current locations. This will further protect this road as a much needed emergency evacuation route. Additional updates will be provided as progress is made on this construction project. This project is funded through the New York State Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery grants and is managed and overseen by the Town of Blooming Grove. These grants were made available to the Town of Blooming Grove after Hurricanes Irene and Sandy.
